A cosy cocktail-story. Sage adds a herbal whisper, bourbon brings a deep warmth, and Max Hot Honey turns an ordinary drink into a real journey of flavour. The base is a fragrant syrup of spicy honey and fresh sage.
Preparation
- 1
The magic syrup. Combine the spicy honey, water and sage leaves in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer for 3 minutes. Let it cool completely and strain out the sage. It keeps in the fridge for up to a week.
- 2
Mix the drink. Take your favourite bourbon, add 2 tbsp of the sage syrup and shake with ice. Add fresh orange juice for a citrus note.
- 3
The finish. Pour over ice. Garnish with a fresh sage leaf and orange zest.
